I ran some Dr. Seuss events when I worked for years as a writer/literacy programs coordinator for Girl Scouts. I always remember his birthday, one of a kind! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your rhyme times. Congrats on Fairy book, will check it out.

I couldn’t resist poking fun at myself with the picture. I actually did some “serious” celebrating, too, reading to kids at my son’s school and with kids in Maryland via Skype today, which was even more fun than riding a fake camel! That is wonderful that you were able to work with the Girl Scouts-what a great organization. Happy reading and writing to you, and thanks for connecting!

It was a great job, we started the first national book club for GS on the internet, way back in the ’90’s. Life is swift, kids grow up fast. Thanks for your work.

That sounds incredible! I was teaching way back in the 90’s-had to take a special course to be allowed access to the world wide web!! Ha! Time flies! What are you doing these days?
